Many citizens of various nations are disparaging toward our own, for what amounts to public displays of discord. While it is indeed true that such debates can become tiresome, at least we have them. While other states languish behind a wall of perception, we attempt to have substantive conversations on race, war, and gender roles. Sure, these May be uncomfortable discussions, and while they may give an outlet for the most unsavory proponents on either side, our desire to pursue introspection is what makes us a better community, nation, and people.
