Many congratulations to Spalding on their promotion back to Midlands 1 after a thrilling 24-14 win today at home. Spalding clearly wanted the win that bit more than their opponents although they had to fight extremely hard. The referee produced two yellow cards in the first few minutes of the game for both sides and was consistent all the way through with six yellow cards in total. That said it didnt spoil the game as both sides played at a high pace. Harry Sharman was outstanding through out the game as was Wes Cope who really should not have been playing with the injury he was carrying but battled on regardless till he was replaced late on by Ben Williams. Ben scored in the final 10 minutes with a pushover try to take the home side to victory. Many congratulations to Geoff Nichol and every one involved at the club this season.
