Many law enforcement agencies have been installing "dash cams" on their vehicles, but the next wave of technology advancements is pushing "body cams" forward. Seattle PD became the latest department to equip its officers with wearable cameras. Check out this interesting article, and the impact such cameras are having. According to one study, such cameras can achieve reduction of overall citizen complaints filed against police by 88%, and officers used violence 60% less often. I have no problems with such cameras, as long as there is a very reliable method of preserving the captured video/audio. Now, if we could just get video cameras in the courtrooms!!
