Many of you have already read this!! I am so sorry I failed to mention: she runs great in the bit but throws her head as if it is hitting the roof of her mouth, as they are known to do!! (Original post--->)Ok so I have a question. I have an early senior mare (about 15, still a lot of years left to run and trail ride) She is VERY set in her ways and runs an almost automatic pattern. She has always been in a Tom Thumb with copper rollers. Im well aware that these bits are terrible for running, so please, do not lecture me on that matter. Shes always had one even before I got her. Ive tried a wonder bit and even tried to take her down to a plain snaffle, but neither has worked as well as her normal bit. My question is, what bit works similar to a Tom Thumb without the mechanics of one?
