Many of you know of the passing of our dear kitty friend, Lilly Gato. She was a dear and precious little soul that left this earth too soon. Her mom and dad, Jan and Tom Jerrells are amazing supporters of Shadow Cats and our mission. All that have lost a companion, know the sadness and pain they are feeling. It was the day after Lilly Gatos passing that Kathryn Sharp from Austin Animal Center , told us about an emaciated feleuk mama and her positive kitten. When I saw the picture of her, I was struck by her resemblance to Lilly Gato. We said yes, we would take her and her kitten, Louie. In honor and memory of Lilly Gato, we are naming our newest feline leukemia positive cat, Lilly. She is her own cat, her own being, but somehow, someway, when Lilly Gato crossed that day, I think she left a little of herself right here with us with this new gift of life, Lilly. Well never forget you Lilly Gato and for you Lilly and Louie, you are about to live your best life.
