Many people always wonder why in the hell do Cubans vote republican, your latino, they hate you is what I always hear... I will try to explain to my best ability. We come from an island with a dictator who tells you how to eat, sleep, and think. Those that were lucky enough to leave Cuba, immediately found themselves identifying with republicans and here is why. The republican party never told us we couldnt succeed with out them, they never told us due to our language barrier, social and economic status we were bound for failure. They never told us we were victims of corporate greed and all the cards were already stacked against us. They only told us welcome to America, here you are free to fail or you are free to succeed, our choice. Democrats always insulted us with victimhood and the you cant do it without our help attitude. Well we can and we did. Doesnt mean that cubans are racist or bigots for voting republican- on the contrary we are quite socially liberal on many issues. However we dont like being told we cant do it with out the government, because cubans have spent the last 50 years adhearing that lie and they wont be bamboozled again.
