Many thanks to our super hero volunteers!! I injured my hand - TopicsExpress

Many thanks to our super hero volunteers!! I injured my hand yesterday during a fawn intake (due to a bizarre set of circumstances) and am unable to use my right hand at this time. With all the fawns, raptors, and other creatures here, this could have been a huge problem. But NO! I have had help at critical moments thanks to Bonnie Brown and Kelly Hafner! If I can manage to not move my hand too much over the next few days, I should be just fine. So no worries about me. The key is giving that area of my hand time to heal before trying to use it again! In addition to all the other things they came over to do (which deserve a big thanks on their own merits), they also made bottles and helped feed the fawns and poor Kelly had to cut up 2-3 days worth of raptor food for the babies since I cannot use scissors right now! (Thats a horrible job and she did it with grace and no complaints!!) I was worried about how to keep things going when this first happened. But Im Not worried anymore! PAWS has the backing of awesome people who step up when needed. To all of the PAWS volunteers who have ever stepped up to help in any way, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. And we also wouldnt be where we are today without our awesome fans and supporters. So thank you too....for everything youve done to spread the word by sharing a post to those who have donated items we need and the money we need to keep running and more. It takes a village to save wildlife and our village ROCKS!!!
