Many wonderful teaching have come forth discussing Rev 1:6 & 5:10 which states that we have been made kings and priest unto our God. I have been blessed by and have learned from the teachings of these wonderful men and women of God. Some of the things the Lord has shown me in my own personl study has been taught in their teachings also which is an awesome conformation from the Lord that you are hearing Him also. But one thing that the Lord has burned in my heart from the beginning is that He has made each and everyone one of His children to be a king and priest unto Him; not a king or a priest. Hebrews 7:1 "For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him." The one thing the Lord kept speaking to me on yesterday was teach how to function as both. I get so excited about who the Bible says we are in Christ Jesus, who He has made us to be; however if we are never taught how to function in these roles we will never be able to manifest the power/anointing of who we truly are in this world. Remember the whole world is awaiting the manifestation of the sons of God the Bible says; but why are the sons not manifested? Because of lack of knowledge, we must know the how’s, when’s, what’s, where’s, etc. of being who we are called to be in order to walk fully therein. With that being said let’s look closely at what the Word of God says about kings. First let me emphasize that the Bible says that all Scriptures are inspired by God and profitable for teaching, the Old Testament holds within it a wealth of information to teach us how to be all that the Lord has called us to be because it all points to our King Jesus Christ.
