Marathon # 161. June 10, 2013. 60km East of Timber Creek to Roadside stop 23km East of Timber Creek on Victoria Hwy. Had our usual banana & grapefruit smoothie before starting at 5am in the dark. No moon, no traffic, no sound, a quiet 2 hour run before daybreak. No colour in the sunrise and no clouds in the sky, promise of another hot day. Yummy green smoothies at the first break at 14.5km and delicious salad with the last of our fresh salad greens at 29km for the second break. Landscape changed again with the escarpments further off in the distance and small rocky hills by the road. Met Lynette & Dennis on the road again and confirmed arrangements for going to the schools at Timber Creek tomorrow and Bulla Camp in a couple of days. Turned hot and humid again (temp 27-36 degrees), finished at 42.41 km at roadside camping spot where Myke and Melissa had set up, made fresh juice of beets, oranges, apples, greens & ginger and a fruit salad for dinner with bananas, kiwifruit, oranges, pineapple, grapefruit, ginger, chia and poppy seeds, cinnamon and dates. Brilliant red sunset with a crescent moon and Venus aligned. Total Km 6955.34. Garmin Data posted separately.
