Margaret always spoke of her father fondly as loving and caring - TopicsExpress

Margaret always spoke of her father fondly as loving and caring man. He served in the Australian Army throughout World War II. He was in numerous areas of operation and was wounded several times. While finalising his service at Holsworthy Barracks in Sydney in January 1946, he died in an unfortunate military vehicle accident. The impact of this on Margaret was profound and this was something that she carried throughout her life. To enter medicine at Sydney University as a sixteen year old female in 1956 and despite this hardship was quite remarkable. When Margaret’s eyes closed for the last time this week on Earth they reopened in Heaven with her most wished for vision. It is 1946 in Bondi Junction, Australia. She is a five year old girl dressed in her nicest party dress. Her father steps out of his taxi - he is home from the war. She runs down the driveway and into the strong, loving arms of her father. She is now happy, safe and has no more pain. For my loving husband Michael it was privilege to be there as Margaret was reunited with her father.
