Marian Rivera on spearheading Celebrity Ukay-ukay: “Nagkakasundo-sundo ang mga Kapuso para tumulong” As soon as the “-ber” months set in, Christmas is in the air in the Philippines. And as traditional as the parol, belen, and puto bumbong is the annual Celebrity Ukay-Ukay for the benefit of GMA Kapuso Foundation. Since 2011, power couple Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez spearheaded this project wherein items / donations from fellow celebrities are up for grabs through bazaar or online auction. Proceeds go to Kapuso Foundation’s School Development Project, aiming to build or rehabilitate classrooms and school buildings all over the country. This year, primetime royalty Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera are ready to lead the said project. Marian exclaims her delight in a recent interview with GMANetwork. “Isa lang ang ibig sabihin niyan – na nagkakasundo-sundo ang mga Kapuso para tumulong at magkaroon ng ganitong klaseng proyekto para mas madami tayong matulungan sa mga Kapuso natin,” according to the primetime queen.
