Marine Superintendent - Deck Marine Superintendent - Deck The Role they will play: • Ensure vessel compliance to company safety, quality, and environmental policy, • Ensure safe and efficient cargo transfer, • Ensures compliance with all rules and regulations pertaining to the company’s fleet of vessels, • Oversees and executes preventative maintenance plans, approve vessel stores and spares requisitions, • Evaluate shipboard personnel and make promotional recommendations, • Participate in safety audits, SIRE vetting inspections, works with the USCG and other regulatory bodies, • Ensure vessels are properly maintained and managed, ensuring all vessel are operational, Background Profile: • Bachelor’s degree, preferably from a maritime academy, • USCG license – Chief Mate and/or Master Unlimited, tanker experience is a must, • Knowledge of ABS and USCG rules and regulations • NS5 experience is preferred,, • Ability to provide leadership to the companies personnel both shore side and seagoing, • Ability to work in the US without sponsorship, have a valid driver’s license, pass a drug test and back ground test and the ability to obtain a TWIC card.
