Marion Bartoli, last years Ladies Singles Champion at Wimbledon has just stepped onto court to begin the 2014 Championships on Centre Court. In her absence as a player due to retirement, it is over to Sabine Lisicki, who she beat last season, to officially begin the action. Lisicki is one of my dark horses for the title, because of her relationship with the grass surface, and how her game seems to go up that extra 10% at Wimbledon. There is something about Lisicki that suggests she will not give up lightly on reaching the final, and going one step further than twelve months ago. With an array of talent potentially standing in her way, like Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, Li Na and Victoria Azarenka, it is bound to be a tough assignment.
