Mark 9 38-40 KJV 38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. 39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. 40 For he that is not against us is on our part. Whoever or whatever honors God cannot at the same time be against Him. There are those who condemn Christmas as a pagan holiday, because they believe it originated from one. If Christmas is the time which we specially honor Christ, which it is, how can it also be pagan? It cannot. Consider how much good has been done because of this holiday. Many have come to a saving knowledge of Christ because of it. It encourages us to open our hearts both to our God and our fellow man. It is a very special time of worship that brings joy, peace and comfort, but also makes us appreciate anew that Jesus left His home in Heaven to be our savior.
