Mark Formosa ******FRIENDLY REMINDER from 5 STAR CYLES************** Before yall decide to get on your bike and hit the road do a inspection on your bike. -Check your brake pads, front and back. If the groove in the pad is no longer evident its time to change them. -Check your brake lines for leaks...if your you grab your front brake lever and it feels spongy then most likely you have air in you line....meaning its time to bleed the brakes. -Check your grips for tears or loose fit. A loose grip can cause your throttle to stick or slip. -Check your chain. Keep your chain properly lubricated. Have at least 2in of play. A chain thats t loose will slip off and cause hundreds of dollars in damage. A chain that over tighten can SNAP!!..if that happens pray you get lucky and it doesnt cause injury. -Check your tires i.e. NO TEARS..proper tread, NO BUBBLES...and for god sake DO NOT USE armor all to clean your tires... -Check your headlights, brake lights, turn signals, rotors, loose fairings, cables, sprockets, These are just a handful of routine maintenance checks. I cant stress how important it is to take less than 5min to look over your bike and make sure its safe for the road.
