Mark OConners response to my little (fairly un-researched) email. I like american classics! I dont think I like Mark OConner so much. Derek, I am not sure how to respond to what you write in that it is not accurate. The music in the OConnor Method books are 95% American Classics - Amazing Grace, We Shall Overcome, Simple Gifts etc... So that needs to be adjusted in your note to me. Also, what I have to say on Suzuki is mostly informed by the research. I can have my opinions on it, but the research is the part that is hard to ignore. It is hard to teach children to have a noble heart when you lie about your entire credentials... I think that needs to be understood. But we welcome you to take another look at the OConnor Method books, especially before the books feature the best of Bach etc... by the way the OConnor Book IV does have a Bach Allemande in it.
