Mark your calendars for the next Flag City Opry. One of the top female singers from Texas to Nashville will headline The Flag City Opry on Oct. 15. Amber Digby from The Woodlands, was born and raised in Nashville. She comes from a long line of classic country music royalty. Her father, Dennis Digby, is a longtime bass player in Loretta Lynn’s raod band, the Coal Miners. She is the niece of Darrell McCall, who hit the top of the charts with his song “Eleven Roses.” In Dec. 2009 she released her fourth CD, “Another Way to Live.” Digby has added songwriting to her resumé, writing with some of the best songwriters in Nashville including Vince Gill. She has made a name for herself with top critics, radio and fans alike, as the top female vocalist in music dedicated to the country music tradition. Sharing the stage with Digby at the Opry are Clifton Jansky of San Antonio, Arnold Parker of Victoria and the Flag City Opry Band.
