Marshmallow World by Dean Martin & Frank Sinatra, live recording - TopicsExpress

Marshmallow World by Dean Martin & Frank Sinatra, live recording from Deans TV Christmas Special on 21 December 1967. The audio track can be found on the CD Christmas With The Rat Pack. This is a popular song composed in 1949 by Carl Sigman (lyrics) and Peter De Rose (music). It is commonly regarded as a Christmas song, although the lyrics make no mention of the holiday. The song was first a hit for Bing Crosby, backed by The Lee Gordon Singers and The Sonny Burke Orchestra. Crosbys version, recorded in 1950, peaked at #24 on the American Pop Singles Chart in January 1951. But Ill always favour Dean and Franks live version because I watched this program back in the day... and I likely watched it with my Nana because she was a huge Dean Martin fan and wouldnt miss one of his TV variety shows if she could help it. Dean Martin (7 June 1917 – 25 December 1995) Frank Sinatra (12 December 1915 – 14 May 1998) Carl Sigman (24 September 1909 – 26 September 2000) Peter De Rose (10 March 1900 – 23 April 1953) https://youtube/watch?v=6lPw9hkk3II
