“Marston behavior improved from the day he first came into the shelter; he still not coming to the front of the cage and is not showing any interest in interacting with me but he remained relaxed in the back of the cage and did not showed any aggressive behavior during the assessment. He allow me to pet him and I even pick him up and he took it really well. The key is approach him slowly and using soft vocalization to make him relax. O/P stated that he would run away from dogs and they had no idea how it would do with other cats, but that he was friendly toward people and describe him as a truly wonderful cat. Fun loving with a mild temperament. Noted it took him some time to adjust and relax to his new surroundings so an experienced owner would be a better fit for him “ I’m glad that the volunteer wrote these notes about Marston. This is great description, and accurately explains why he earned his EXPERIENCE rating. It is not for aggression, but for fear. Marston is 2 years old and neutered, he is a great cat that will absolutely thrive in a calm, loving home. Please consider saving Marston tonight!
