They not only help the homeless by providing a safe place to go, they also help with providing you with the tools to better yourself and get back on your own two feet. They help with people who have lost everything due to fires and any other disaster, there have been several families in the West Plains area this has happened to in the last few months. They have the ONLY Soup Kitchen in our area and will feed ANYONE who shows up hungry, Martha Vance Samaritan Outreach Center also has a food pantry to help those who need food in their houses. They have a diaper bank for parents in need, they can help with baby clothes, baby food, even baby formula if a person needs it. They have lost 90% of their funding that they received through the United Way. The Director of the Martha Vance Samaritan Outreach Center cares about every person that she helps and will help you in every way she is able. This shelter does not deserve to be shut down. The city of West Plains NEEDS the Martha Vance Samaritan Outreach Center. Please would you help get the word out they are 20 days away from having shut their doors forever. There are more than 32 people that call the S.O.C. home, plus 4 under the age of 10. These people have NO WHERE else to go if the shelter gets shut down. PLEASE HELP!!!!! ANY WAY YOU ARE ABLE WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!!
