Marti Loves CSF (Cerebrospinal Fluid) has been pulled each day for the past 3 days. Not sure how many days they will continue to pull it. They run a gram stain test on each sample and it would the first step in showing possible concerns. Then the watch each CSF sample for five days before we are ruled clear. Marti Loves fluid has tested good so far! Thank you God. She has been having fevers for the past 3 days and no good idea yet of what the cause is. 3 things we are wondering would be either her lungs, neuro-fevers -because the fluid changes in her brain, or CSF infection. They have pretty much tested everything else and it thankfully is coming back all clear. After still being on an antibiotic for the SuperBug she has I hate the idea of having something else hard to treat. She is still on oxygen :( She has had some time without needing it, but occasionally her breathing is mildly labored so we still need it. It is crazy to believe we went to the hospital last week thinking a shunt revision and since then, so many things have popped up continuously and become a new concerning hurdle for us to get through. She has been NPO since Tuesday and will continue to until she can complete a swallow study. She can not do that until she is off a certain amount of oxygen. Thankful God is giving us the strength and energy to continue to put one foot in front of the other. Thankful for your prayers.
