Mary Elizabeth Davis McFarling Providence, Caswell County, North Carolina: Mary Elizabeth Davis McFarling 97, of 5418 Walters Mill Road went to be with the Lord Thursday June 7, 2013 following a long period of declining health. She was the daughter of Walter Davis and Lena Payne Davis. She worked at Dan River Mills for many years and had to retire because of failing eyesight. She was a faithful member of Providence Baptist Church. Surviving are one son W. David McFarling Sr. of Raleigh, two grandchildren and one great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Hubert B. McFarling, one son Hubert B. McFarling, Jr. sisters, Louise Davis Walton, Lena Millner, Margaret McFarling, Annie Millner, Nancy Swann, Alma Davis and Sudie and Pattie Cook. Funeral Service will be Monday 11 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church with Pastor W. Lee Cook officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
