Blige has made a triumphant return to the music scene with an amazing new single “Right Now“. The singer once again demonstrates her versality, and presents new sound, away from classic R&B/Soul and approaching towards a more electronic style. “Right Now” is preceded by the statement “The UK is a better place to make music than the States,” and she’s right. For this new era the singer has enlisted the help of English electronic music duo Disclosure, responsible in the production of this new single, which has been written by Blige, Disclosure, Sam Smith and Jimmy Napes. This is not the first time the duo collaborates with Blige, remember that the American singer put her voice on the vocal version of Disclosure’s latest hit “F for You“, released earlier this year, and whose original version was included on the duo’s debut album “Seetle” (2013). “Right Now” is confirmed as the first taste of Blige’s upcoming thirteenth studio album called “The London Sessions“, scheduled to be released on November 24, 2014 via Capitol Records. The album also includes another collaborations with Naughty Boy, Emeli Sandé, in the track called “Pick Me Up“; and with Jimmy Napes and Sam Smith in a song called “Therapy“. Blige filmed the official music video in late-September and it was directed by Mike Ho. She performed the single for the first time at Later… with Jools Holland (BBC Two) on September 23rd.
