Mass was beautiful tonight. The message was about HOPE and what exactly that is. Usually, when people say I hope [something happens], they simply mean I desire or WISH. Hope is something entirely different from a wish: It is earnest, confident, favorable - an intense expectation. Hope is a good goal always looking toward the future. Hope is strength, not weakness. Philippians 4:6-9 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good report, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. So keep faith until the earnest, intense, favorable, and confident expectation begins to rise on the inside of you.
