Masters Match Report: In windy conditions on a perfectly cool day for football, the Raiders butchered the ball in the first quarter with the wind kicking 1.6 or thereabouts. In my view, the game was won for us in the second quarter with a great TEAM defence against the wind restricting Dingley to 2 goals and keeping the game square at half time. The hard and tough team support was inspiring to watch. In the third quarter, it was to take advantage of our superior ball use and put the pressure on the scoreboard which happened with goals to Morrey, Bradders, Jay-Lo and Morrey again. The movement of the ball by hand and by foot was supreme and the team running and support saw us take the upper hand, not to be challenged again. Special mentions to the entire backline. Super effort that!! Special individual mentions to Biscuits in the midfield who cracked in like his life depended on it, Leon who took his angry pills and a guy who looked alot like Gezza, but couldnt be because Gezza retired. Special special mention to also to MattyO & Ekul on the wings, TTA for his loose man play, Joels second half and Dynesys beard that spoiled everything that came his way. Last special mention to Murph....his boundary commentary along with his game predictions were spot on. I think Vossy might have some competition at 3RPP if Murphy turns his hand to broadcasting!
