Match Report - Fleetwood Sunday 6s The Crazy Gang 2 - 5 Real Betis Hotpot for all other reports go to super6s.co.uk THE CRAZY GANG versus REAL BETIS HOTPOT was an excellent encounter! It finished 5-2 to Betis who had to turn around a 2-0 deficit after the Crazy Gang started explosively. Chris (C.Gang) had a shot saved at the near post by Betis keeper Kierans outstretched leg and Terry (C.Gang) saw his powerful effort tipped over by the Betis number one after Chris had set him up, before Lee (C.Gang) broke the deadlock on six minutes. He got on the end of Terrys pass on the right and rifled in a shot that found the roof of the Betis net to make it 1-0. Justin (C.Gang) then set up Chris as the Crazy Gang enjoyed a dominant start and went in search of their second goal, but Chris struck his shot wide, before he then picked up the ball on the right and unleashed an unstoppable effort to make it 2-0! It was a great strike that had seemingly put the Crazy Gang in control, however it appeared to spark Betis into life! Betis debutant James found man of the match Sam (Bet), but his first time shot was saved by Crazy Gang keeper Colin and Rob (Bet) fired narrowly wide of Colins far post, before Betis captain Sam reduced the deficit to 2-1 after James once again assisted him. It was a great reaction from Betis. Terry then saw another of his shots tipped away at the other end and Justin looked set to score when Terry slipped the ball through to him, before Rob got back to snuff him out with an immense bit of defending. It was great cover and important because just seconds later Sam was at it again. He controlled a pass from Rob with a nice first touch before finding the bottom corner with a clinical right footed effort. The same Rob/Sam combination opened up the Crazy Gang again on the stroke of half-time, however Sam put his shot wide under intense pressure from Colin who did well. Sean (Betis) met Sams corner early in the second half, but his volley was dealt with by Colin and Justin forced a great save out of Kieran when he cut onto his left foot at the other end, before Sam completed his hat-trick on twenty six minutes to put his team into the lead for the first time in the game. The match had been turned completely on its head and as it reached the half hour mark, Betis increased their lead to 4-2 through Sean whose low shot went through Colin, before he then struck again three minutes later to wrap up a good 5-2 win for Betis. He picked up the ball on the halfway line and showed considerable pace to skip past two Crazy Gang markers and leave them behind, before rounding Colin and casually sliding the ball into an empty net! James almost extended Betiss lead when he met Robs ball over the top, but his resulting volley was parried over by Colin, before the Crazy Gang were awarded a penalty near the end, but Justin smashed the spot kick against Kierans crossbar. Lee then set up Chris at the death, but Kieran denied the Crazy Gang another goal with a brave save when he stopped Chriss shot at point blank range with his face! The Crazy Gang get to test themselves against a rampant A+M Superstars next, whereas Real Betis Hotpot meet second placed Murder on Zidanes floor in their next match.
