Match Report 18/11/14 Venue: TDS Stadium A Lee Street Stephen Daccus Steve Stone Ben Smith Matt Lakins Richard Arnold B Luke Lane Craig Ewan Nathan Evans Tom Hemming Jonny Devaney Tony Brown The following match report is based on actual events, only the events have been changed Team A - 3 Team B - 4 HEY ARNOLD! Rich grabs last gasp winner! Its Tuesday night, its 7 o’clock, it can only mean one thing! TNF is a back for another week and what a week it was. Chairman Lane had been riddled with drop outs throughout the week, Lewis was having his stomach pumped after a an all you can eat buffet went wrong, Harper wasn’t allowed to play because his chores weren’t finished, Cresswell injured himself slapping himself in the face to hard during his pre match and physc up and Barnes was looking at 15 years after a meth lab was discovered in his garage. Despite all the drop outs we had a game it was Sven GoranEriksLane v Jose MourinStone and it started a ferocious pace both sides had early chances but it was B that went in front, Ewan slipped in Evans who finished smartly. It could have been 2 moments later, Lane did brilliantly down the left pulled it back to Hemming who could of tapped into a empty net, unfortunately he has too busy signing autographs in the crowd and the chance went begging, an equalizer wasn’t far away however, Stone cleared a harmless ball from the edge of his own area however the ball hit both walls, the ceiling, a fire door before cannoning off a fire extinguisher and nestled perfectly in the top corner. B felt they could of had a penalty Lane collected a pass from Ewan and went down like he had been rugby tackled by Gemma Collins, the ref waved away the claims replays later showed it was a dive, Lane then decided to take matters into his own hands picking up the ball he went on a mazy run past 3 defenders, out the fire doors, down the hill, up past wetherspoons through town, past yatess through the bus station up the hill and back through the other fire door before smashing it wide, Devaney had been unmarked from the start but Lane said he spotted a gap! B did then grab the lead, Street had a routine clearance inside his own box, however fake tan ran in his eyes and he smashed the ball off the back of Smiths head and into the net, and moments later they got there penalty Ewan turned to shoot the struck Smith upwardsly raised arms, many thought he was trying to block the ball it later emerged he was having a tantrum over the 50 p fine hed now have to pay for his og, Lane slotted the penalty away 3-1! Stone reduced the score almost immediately linking up with Daccus to make it 3-2. Then came the big moment, Tony Brown had been performing with Right Said Fred the night before at the LG and had over done it, He stretched for the ball and injury happened he went down screaming, iv not heard screaming like that since I saw a seal getting raped on the discovery channel. Brown bravely went in goal and that turned out to be the turning point as A show no mercy, Smith made up for earlier mishaps with a great strike to make it 3-3, Both sides had chances to win it Street had the best chance when Arnold picked him out at the back post but a female dog.walker caught his attention and he put it over! A winner was found however skipper Arnold bold forward and hit a unstoppable strike past a stricken Brown to make it 4-3! A did have one last chance to grab a point when Lane found Evans in the box, his boots blinded the defenders which allowed him a shot but was well blocked by keeper Lakins which earnt A a point and ended Street and Smiths poor run!
