Match Report Blackpool: 1st July 2013 Check out the Monday Night League Tables @ playfootball.net/blackpool/players_lounge The Monday Night Gatorade Premiership PLF Allstars 6 v 14 Real So So Bad Top Scorer: Shane Grindey (6) (Real So So Bad) M.O.M: Tom McFarlane (Real So So Bad) 4th placed Real So So Bad was up against 6th placed PLF Allstars, Real So So Bad’s Shane Grindey was in fine form as he was in sublime form grabbing himself 6 of his sides goals. Team mate and player/manager Tom McFarlane was in great form as he was chosen for the MOM award for his tremendous display. McFarlane was in good form tonight as he ran himself into the ground for his side and kept things ticking over at the back, McFarlane even managed to get himself a hatrick which was well deserved. PLF’s one shining light was the Allen brothers who grabbed 5 goals between the deadly duo but they didn’t do enough to secure the points. The Monday Night Championship Footlong FC 13 v 16 Fantastic 5’s Top Scorer: Dave Stock (9) (Fantastic 5’s) M.O.M: Dave Stock (Fantastic 5’s) The bottom 2 went head to head as Footlong FC was up against fellow basement battlers Fantastic 5’s. The game was only really about one man and that’s Fantastic 5’s debutant Dave Stock. Stock was in sparkling form on his first outing smashing in 9 goals and taking the MOM award in a mesmerising display. Stock really impressed his new team mates with this individual display of clinical finishing and great hold up play. Footlong FC’s Ryan Collinson put in a good shift for his side getting himself 5 goals but it was enough as Dave Stock stole the show on his debut and his Fantastic 5’s lot took all 3 points. The Monday Night “VETS” Premiership Tower Lounge 13 v 10 Highlands Top Scorer: Lee McCabe, Pete Stambridge & Nick Deveroux (4) (Tower Lounge) M.O.M: Dave Whitehead (Highlands) 5th placed Tower Lounge was up against 3rd placed Highlands, the score didn’t go the table shows as Tower Lounge took all 3 points thanks to a great performance from trio Lee McCabe Pete Stambridge and Nick Deveroux. All 3 Tower Lounge players managed to grab themselves 4 goals each in a cracking display. The match official didn’t go with any of the 3 Tower Lounge players for his man of the match and went with Highlands Dave Whitehead who was in top form for his team. Whitehead sat at the back and controlled the game from there as the pass master never wasted the ball throughout. Whitehead put in a fair few blocks to and snapped into tackles when needed in this MOM performance and even managed to get himself on the score sheet with a brace but unfortunately for Whitehead and Highlands it wasn’t enough to take anything from the game. The Monday Night “VETS” Championship Bradley Drivers 1 v 25 2 Left Feet Top Scorer: James Greenaway (10) (2 Left Feet) M.O.M: Lee Taylor (2 Left Feet) Table topping Bradley Drivers fell to a crushing defeat tonight as they were battered by opponents 2 Left Feet. 2 Left Feet was sitting in 4th placed before this game and had won 1 and lost 1 while Bradley Drivers had played 2 and won 2 sitting pretty in top spot, but this game looked like it was the other way round as 2 Left Feet ran riot. 2 Left Feet was unplayable in this form as Martin Davies and James Greenaway combined through out to devastating effect as the pair smashed 17 between them. The MOM award went to 2 Left Feet’s player/manager Lee Taylor, Taylor controlled and dictated the play as he set up countless opportunities an chances for his side while grabbing a hatrick in the process there fore being named the man of the match. The Monday Night 7’s League Osatsuma 11 v 3 The Ultras Top Scorer: Ryan Bradley (6) (Osatsuma) M.O.M: Ste Brisco (Osatsuma) New boys Osatsuma was in fine form tonight as they demolished opponents and whipping boys The Ultras 11-3. Osatsuma’s returning striker Ryan Bradley was in scintillating form getting a double hatrick on his return. Bradley has been away in America for several weeks as he’s been in receiving treatment at the world famous Destination Hope. Some how the returning and rejuvenated Bradley didn’t win the MOM award as team mate Ste Brisco scooped that thanks to a hatrick and a never say die attitude. Brisco never stopped chasing lost causes and ran himself into the ground for his side and thoroughly deserved his MOM award.
