Match Report: Saturday 23rd August. MRA division 2 Matlock Town CFA.....1 Pastures FC Reserves...3 Things didnt go quite to plan for the CFA in their 3rd home game in a week. They were a goal down on 6 mins and found it tough going early on against a well organised Pastures team. Despite the pressure the young CFA side battled bravely and were rewarded late in the half when Jordan Hatfield used his heading prowess to head home in some style a leveler just before the break. The interval came at the wrong time for the home side and Pastures came out fighting and despite having a player sent off hit two quick goals to make it three. Despite this CFA striker Ashley Roberts was a constant threat using his pace to torment the Pastures back line, Keeper Sam Duffin made an outstanding second half save diving full length across to his left, to much applause from both sides. Jack Crossley was unlucky late on getting his body behind the ball only for a big hand ball shout and the referee produced a red. A harsh decision to take one for the team but the visitors were off target and scoreline remained to the final whistle. Man of the match for the second week running went to: Michael Lettall.
