MathCON 2014 IS COMING!!! If you are interested please see your math teacher or Mr. Leavitt. The school will pay the entry fee for you if you qualify. MathCON is open to all students, from all types of schools, including home-schooled children, in grades 5-12. The first round is an online test that students can conveniently take at their own school. The testing window is from Monday, February 2, 2015 at 8 am to Friday, February 27, 2015 at 6 pm. 1,000 top-scoring students will be invited to the MathCON finals at the University of Illinois at Chicago to take the second-round, paper-based test on April 25, 2015. Cash prizes and other prizes will be awarded that day! There will also be plenty of fun math-related events for students, parents, and teachers to enjoy, including a special appearance from renowned “mathemagics” mathematician Arthur T. Benjamin. The deadline for registration is Friday, Jan 30, 2015. A one-time payment of $100 for each school is due by January 15, 2015. Your school’s math teacher or other appropriate coordinator can register here. You may pay online at the time of registration or pay later online or by check.
