Mathews 18:8-9 If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. 9And if your eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell. First it is vitally important that we ALL, both believer and unbeliever, understand that God is both great and terrible. God says to fear Him because He can kill both body and soul. God is not just love, He IS order. He IS obedience. He IS discipline. This scripture is meant to illustrate how important it is to avoid sin in your life... at ALL costs. Sin is too destructive. An ounce of it can carry you into hell. This is about you abhorring sin exactly how God does. God is plainly telling you: if you cannot stop sinning because of something...
