Maw Maw Anna was truly a Angel. We were all blessed to call her Maw Maw. It was amazing to watch her with our children. It gave us a chance to relive our clidhood with her. When ever any of us became restless she would rock us to sleep. I can still hear her humming soft songs now. Maw Maw Anna is our Angel then and forever. Whenever we become restless she will be with us to put us at ease. We love you and miss you. On Friday June 6, 2014 Anna Melerine was called home to heaven to join her eternal love ones at age 79. She was a lifelong resident of Delacroix Island and wife of Clinton (Buddy) Melerine for 60 years. Mother of the late Barry Melerine, also survived by Donna Melerine, Pam & Philip Mones, Clinton & Stephanie Melerine, Philip & Mary Melerine. Grandmother to Tiffany & Mike Carrasco, Victoria Melerine, Philip & Kim Mones, Jason & Amanda Mones, Clinton Melerine Jr. & (Jamie), Ryan & Lindsi Melerine, Maegan Melerine & (John Paul). Great Grandmother of 10. Sister of William & Nancy Martinez, John Martinez, Bobby & Sylvia Martinez, the late Alvin Martinez and Nancy Winkler. Daughter of the late William & Lelia Martinez. Beloved Aunt and Nanny to several nieces and nephews. As everyone knows you entered her home and became her family. Her greatest joy in life was taking care of cooking and spending time with her family. Her definition of family - is a place to go where one will always feel at home, there you will find someone to talk to, and a shoulder to lean on, where love is spoken and laughter is heard. Memories are born there that we hold on our hearts forever and you are loved unconditional! She will truly be missed .In Memory of her, Always cherish your family and count your blessings.
