May 13th 1787 Portsmouth Harbour, England: Convicts huddled together in chains under heavy guard brought from prisons all over England. Their crimes ranging from petty theft, to highway robbery and murder. 750 inc men, women and children boarded vessels to be banished to a far away land. Stops made at Santa Cruz (Tenerife), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), The Cape of Good Hope (South Africa) to stock up on supplies. January 18th 1788 the first vessel touched down bringing the first Europeans to what we now call Australia. :)
