May 26, 2013 was the last show I produced here along with Brandon Wiley, Sherwin Arae, KD Ringer, and Franchize LaCount. But its where I got my start as a producer on P.b. Smiley s Smile For Me Tuesdays comedy show back in July of 2010 and also working with my sis Ya-Mia Dawson. I am heartbroken to know that Hollywood Studio Bar And Grill on Sunset and Gower adjacent up the street from Roscoes House of Chicken And Waffles is closed down. SOOO many good memories and times here. Shows week after week that formed the bonds and relationships with so many talent in comedy I know today like ScrewRoy Rice, Clayton Fivethousandfriends Thomas, Kanisha Buss, Tony Baker, Roger Rodd, Malik Barnhardt, Derrick Ellis, Aja Kimm, and too many more to name. Chef Juan Mercado who owned the joint with his son and whom I honorably referred to as pops, everytime I called he ALWAYS showed me love on anything I booked there. He let me come in for ZERO. That is unheard of. But he respected me that much and had faith in any production I tried to do there. He knew my voice time I called. I am praying him and his son Angel the bartender are alright. Hollywood Studio Bar And Grill in Hollywood...thanks for the memories. Gone, but never forgotten! Smh #ARealLossForEntertainment
