May Allah guide us all to the right path of Islam. ذٰلِكَ الكِتٰبُ لا رَيبَ ۛ فيهِ ۛ هُدًى لِلمُتَّقينَ There is no doubt that this book is a guide for the pious; الَّذينَ يُؤمِنونَ بِالغَيبِ وَيُقيمونَ الصَّلوٰةَ وَمِمّا رَزَقنٰهُم يُنفِقونَ the pious who believe in the unseen, attend to prayer, give in charity part of what We have granted them; وَالَّذينَ يُؤمِنونَ بِما أُنزِلَ إِلَيكَ وَما أُنزِلَ مِن قَبلِكَ وَبِالءاخِرَةِ هُم يوقِنونَ who have faith in what has been revealed to you and others before you and have strong faith in the life hereafter أُولٰئِكَ عَلىٰ هُدًى مِن رَبِّهِم ۖ وَأُولٰئِكَ هُمُ المُفلِحونَ It is the pious who follow the guidance of their Lord and gain lasting happiness إِنَّ الَّذينَ كَفَروا سَواءٌ عَلَيهِم ءَأَنذَرتَهُم أَم لَم تُنذِرهُم لا يُؤمِنونَ Those who deny your message will not believe whether you warn them or not خَتَمَ اللَّهُ عَلىٰ قُلوبِهِم وَعَلىٰ سَمعِهِم ۖ وَعَلىٰ أَبصٰرِهِم غِشٰوَةٌ ۖ وَلَهُم عَذابٌ عَظيمٌ Allah has sealed their hearts and hearing and their vision is veiled; a great punishment awaits them وَمِنَ النّاسِ مَن يَقولُ ءامَنّا بِاللَّهِ وَبِاليَومِ الءاخِرِ وَما هُم بِمُؤمِنينَ Some people say, "We believe in Allah and the Day of Judgment," but they are not true believers يُخٰدِعونَ اللَّهَ وَالَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَما يَخدَعونَ إِلّا أَنفُسَهُم وَما يَشعُرونَ They deceive Allah and the believers. However, they have deceived no one but themselves, a fact of which they are not aware فى قُلوبِهِم مَرَضٌ فَزادَهُمُ اللَّهُ مَرَضًا ۖ وَلَهُم عَذابٌ أَليمٌ بِما كانوا يَكذِبونَ A sickness exists in their hearts to which Allah adds more sickness. Besides this, they will suffer a painful punishment as a result of the lie which they speak وَإِذا قيلَ لَهُم لا تُفسِدوا فِى الأَرضِ قالوا إِنَّما نَحنُ مُصلِحونَ When they are told not to commit corruption in the land, they reply, "We are only reformers" أَلا إِنَّهُم هُمُ المُفسِدونَ وَلٰكِن لا يَشعُرونَ They, certainly, are corrupt but do not realise it وَإِذا قيلَ لَهُم ءامِنوا كَما ءامَنَ النّاسُ قالوا أَنُؤمِنُ كَما ءامَنَ السُّفَهاءُ ۗ أَلا إِنَّهُم هُمُ السُّفَهاءُ وَلٰكِن لا يَعلَمونَ When they are told to believe as everyone else does, they say, "Should we believe as fools do?" In fact, they themselves are fools, but they do not know it وَإِذا لَقُوا الَّذينَ ءامَنوا قالوا ءامَنّا وَإِذا خَلَوا إِلىٰ شَيٰطينِهِم قالوا إِنّا مَعَكُم إِنَّما نَحنُ مُستَهزِءونَ To the believers they declare belief and, in secret to their own devils, they say, "We were only mocking" اللَّهُ يَستَهزِئُ بِهِم وَيَمُدُّهُم فى طُغيٰنِهِم يَعمَهونَ Allah mocks them and gives them time to continue blindly in their transgressions أُولٰئِكَ الَّذينَ اشتَرَوُا الضَّلٰلَةَ بِالهُدىٰ فَما رَبِحَت تِجٰرَتُهُم وَما كانوا مُهتَدينَ They have traded guidance for error, but their bargain has had no profit and they have missed the true guidance مَثَلُهُم كَمَثَلِ الَّذِى استَوقَدَ نارًا فَلَمّا أَضاءَت ما حَولَهُ ذَهَبَ اللَّهُ بِنورِهِم وَتَرَكَهُم فى ظُلُمٰتٍ لا يُبصِرونَ (Their case) is like that of one who kindles a fire and when it grows bright Allah takes away its light leaving him in darkness (wherein) he cannot see (anything) صُمٌّ بُكمٌ عُمىٌ فَهُم لا يَرجِعونَ They are deaf, blind, and dumb and cannot regain their senses أَو كَصَيِّبٍ مِنَ السَّماءِ فيهِ ظُلُمٰتٌ وَرَعدٌ وَبَرقٌ يَجعَلونَ أَصٰبِعَهُم فى ءاذانِهِم مِنَ الصَّوٰعِقِ حَذَرَ المَوتِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ مُحيطٌ بِالكٰفِرينَ Or it is like that of a rain storm with darkness, thunder, and lightning approaching. They cover their ears for fear of thunder and death. Allah encompasses those who deny His words يَكادُ البَرقُ يَخطَفُ أَبصٰرَهُم ۖ كُلَّما أَضاءَ لَهُم مَشَوا فيهِ وَإِذا أَظلَمَ عَلَيهِم قاموا ۚ وَلَو شاءَ اللَّهُ لَذَهَبَ بِسَمعِهِم وَأَبصٰرِهِم ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلىٰ كُلِّ شَيءٍ قَديرٌ The lightning almost takes away their vision. When the lightning brightens their surroundings, they walk and when it is dark, they stand still. Had Allah wanted, He could have taken away their hearing and their vision. Allah has power over all things يٰأَيُّهَا النّاسُ اعبُدوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذى خَلَقَكُم وَالَّذينَ مِن قَبلِكُم لَعَلَّكُم تَتَّقونَ People, worship your Lord who created you and those who lived before you, so that you may become pious الَّذى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الأَرضَ فِرٰشًا وَالسَّماءَ بِناءً وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّماءِ ماءً فَأَخرَجَ بِهِ مِنَ الثَّمَرٰتِ رِزقًا لَكُم ۖ فَلا تَجعَلوا لِلَّهِ أَندادًا وَأَنتُم تَعلَمونَ Worship Allah who has rendered the earth as a floor for you and the sky as a dome for you and has sent water down from the sky to produce fruits for your sustenance. Do not knowingly set up anything as an equal to Allah وَإِن كُنتُم فى رَيبٍ مِمّا نَزَّلنا عَلىٰ عَبدِنا فَأتوا بِسورَةٍ مِن مِثلِهِ وَادعوا شُهَداءَكُم مِن دونِ اللَّهِ إِن كُنتُم صٰدِقينَ Should you have any doubt about what We have revealed to Our servant, present one chapter comparable to it and call all your supporters, besides Allah, if your claim is true فَإِن لَم تَفعَلوا وَلَن تَفعَلوا فَاتَّقُوا النّارَ الَّتى وَقودُهَا النّاسُ وَالحِجارَةُ ۖ أُعِدَّت لِلكٰفِرينَ If you do not produce such a chapterÅand you never willÅthen guard yourselves against the fire whose fuel will be people and stones and is prepared for those who hide the Truth.
