May I pick the brains of our pottery aficionados here? Jim Major - TopicsExpress

May I pick the brains of our pottery aficionados here? Jim Major posted an earlier pic that included a Brush McCoy umbrella stand that may have been made a century ago...or far more recently. Well, I have the same query about a couple of similar Brush Ware (Im using the name of Red Wings line as a generic term here) forms. The first of these, an 18.5 umbrella stand, appears to be a Robinson Ransbottom (RRP Co.) Luxor form as evidenced by a 1926 RRP Co. Luxor Ware factory page shown on p. 131 of my Skillman book about RRP Co. But is the second form pictured here, a 15.5 sand jar with Bird motif, also an RRP Co. form? And, if so, any idea as to when it was made? Same question for the taller, confirmed (apparently) RRP Co. umbrella stand. It is marked USA on the bottom and has a teal-color (though not as dark as the photo indicates) interior glaze that seems odd given the standard, matte green glaze in the recesses of the mold on the exterior of the stand. What does everyone think about the age of these two pieces, and is the Bird sand jar also an RRP Co. form? Thoughts?
