May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself; do not merely look out for your own personal interests but also for the interest of others. Phil 2:3-4 Life is full of choices and lessons and not a single one is centered on ourselves. Do you consider yourself a happy person or do you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, tired and depleted everyday? There is a fine line between doing things for selfish gain (approval of others, acceptance, recognition, validation -these are the sneaky selfish motivators) and doing things because you were genuinely called to help. In Rom 15:13 it tells us what our motivation should be - trust in Him and in return we will receive true lasting joy and peace.
