Maybe it is the gray rainy weather that wont end, but this morning - TopicsExpress

Maybe it is the gray rainy weather that wont end, but this morning I wish to pay some props to those peers of mine that died too young. Davy Blumberg, third grade, drowned in a swimming pool. James Frenchy Bouyat, one of my best friends at Pine Plains High school, was sent back to France against his will, where I believe he committed a form of suicide by drinking himself into a stupor and crashing his car. He had been held back in the school system in France upon his return, a really smart kid failed by the crapulence of the Pine Plains schools. Mike Petty, who was either one of the best drivers that I ever knew, or one of the craziest, and claimed to have gone Red Hook to Pine Plains in 7 minutes in his 403 powered Trans Am. Chris Maissey, who was in depression following his breakup with a girl, got too drunk and hit that big tree heading southbound at the end of the Stanfordville Straight. I will always remember how much energy that crazy kid had, and the way he always said bra instead of bro. That girl, whose name I sadly do not recall, who gassed herself with auto exhaust on the side of the road with her boyfriend my senior year. Lori Figelman, a lovely girl I knew who committed suicide, who like many should have liked herself as much as others did. Pete Hudson who died just a few years ago from a brain tumor, probably my best friend in elementary school, I just barely got back into contact with him on Facebook before he passed. At least there was that. David Berman, who I was not particularly close to, but was close to many of my friends, and died at too young an age. My regrets, to any I have failed to mention.
