Maybe teachers should be changed from exempt employment status to non-exempt status, if we are expected to work more than 8 hours/day, so that we can get paid for the many, many extra hours of work. And, if the answer is to just go home after 8 hours, why do schools have meetings until 5:00? Or, if we go home after 8 hours, how will the SLOs, compliance videos, lesson plans, tutoring, and professional development get done? I just dont get it.
