Meandering Musings. Day 59. Today our household expanded - TopicsExpress

Meandering Musings. Day 59. Today our household expanded slightly.... Natasha, a midwifery student from Canada, arrived this morning. Shes going to spend the year with us, which means that Alice and I will have girl company. Shes lovely and chatty, and were lucky! Zak went out to the airport with me and after that we drove through the Polytech / Uni area to give Natasha a feel for the city, and then had coffee and scones at Everyday Gourmet. Heres a pic of Zak and Natasha in the window of the cafe. I LOVE Ev Gs date scones. I usually phone on Sat mornings to say, Please keep one for me. But this past Sat I thought, Well, I wont phone - such a nerdy thing to do. And there was not one date scone left. So today I was simply making up for lost opportunity, wasnt I?? But hey!! Another pic comes first.... Coffee, yum. Bought at Coffee Culture, around the corner from our house in Roslyn. Theres nothing quite like sitting in the window at CC, or out on the street, sipping, watching and contemplating. Tonight I did something Very Brave - for me, at least. Clair asked me last week to attend her gym type programme with her. I agreed but then worried about it, even forgetting its name in my anxiety. Sure that Id fail, sure the programme would be too send assured and youth-orientated for me. Someone asked me about it. I said it was something like Capture, Aggression, War, Hurting Others.... The session grew and grew in my mind in awfulness, war likeness and sheer sweaty challenge. Ok, so I went this evening. And I managed! In fact I found it fun, immensely sociable and encouraging. And the name that so scared me with its belligerent tone?? Circuit.
