Meanwhile, a good gym is the total opposite. They don’t look - TopicsExpress

Meanwhile, a good gym is the total opposite. They don’t look like nightclubs. They do not have mirrors, and some will actually kick you out if you don’t attend often enough. They are smaller, and they have more serious members. How much does a good gym run? As much as $500 a month, and if you’re paying that much, you’re sure as hell gonna make sure you get something out of it. Im not cheap as a personal trainer, but its how I support myself and I am good at what I do. I have let go of clients who were not invested because it meant lots of work for me without any payback (and I dont mean money). If you really want to make some changes in your health, strength, etc, you have to invest something. Its either time, money or you will pay with your health and just send the money somewhere else. To your doctor, to medicine, to physical therapy etc. You dont NEED a personal trainer or a gym. Yes, thats right. You dont actually need it. But the fact is, you dont need a trainer the same way you dont need a mechanic for your car. You could learn it on your own. You could get the basics down. You could invest that time, the money to educate yourself etc.......but thats hardly practical. Its why you pay someone else to do it. Problem is, your health is not really something you can mess with. You cant trade out your body, like trading out a car. When you health breaks down, your life breaks down. You can invest in a myriad of things, but investing in your health, longevity and disease-prevention pays off BIG TIME. You can pick the priority...but a good trainer/gym is still cheaper than death. Or disease. Or a broken hip when your 60. uproxx/webculture/2014/12/how-low-cost-gyms-like-planet-fitness-psychologically-manipulate-people-into-not-going-to-the-gym/
