Moloney Community/Media Relations Manager, 352-797-3609 Re: Search Warrant - 12293 Deep Creek Drive Date: October 6, 2014 On 10-03-14, detectives with the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit received information from WREC regarding possible power diversion occurring at 12293 Deep Creek Drive in Spring Hill. While assisting WREC with the investigation of power diversion, detectives responded to the residence. Upon arrival, detectives observed a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the residence. The residence was secured, and a search warrant obtained. A search warrant was executed, resulting in the arrest of one individual and the seizure of 268 pounds of harvested marijuana along with 19 marijuana plants. The following individual was arrested on scene: Daniel Marquez H/M DOB/03-31-1966 • Cultivation of Marijuana – Bond - $10,000 • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Bond - $1,000 • Trafficking in Marijuana – Bond - $50,000 • Person in Possession of a Structure for the Purpose of Manufacturing Controlled Substance – Bond - $10,000 • Trespass/Larceny Unauthorized Connect to Utilities Equipment – Bond - $1,000 • Total Bond, $72,000. The investigation is on- going.
