Media Release. Thursday, July 31, 2014. Death Investigation-Update On Wednesday, July 30, 2014, just after 2:30 p.m., South Simcoe Police along with Simcoe County Paramedics and Bradford Fire were called to a soccer field located on Simcoe Road in Bradford. Two 15 year old girls were alone at the soccer field when one of the girls was struck by a falling goal post. She was critically injured and transported to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The Forensic Identification Unit and the Traffic and Marine Unit were at the scene gathering evidence until late evening. The Criminal Investigation Bureau will be assisting the Coroners Office with an investigation. Foul play is not suspected. No names will be released. Fail To Remain Collision On Wednesday, July 30, 2014, around 8:20 p.m., a car travelling north on Barrie Street in Bradford was rear ended at the intersection of with Britannia Avenue. The suspect vehicle continued on without stopping. A witness was able to obtain a licence plate of the suspect vehicle. After a short investigation, a 28 year old Innisfil woman was charged with Fail to Remain and Fail To Report Accident, under the Highway Traffic Act. No one was injured in the collision.
