Meet Beau! Beau has a unique personality and temperament. Hes a mild-mannered, blue, 5 year old boy, full of love and affection. Beau is up to date on vaccinations and preventions. He is house and crate trained but really does not like the crate and it makes him sad. Since he has learned the rules of the house, he is allowed to stay out when home alone and he does not destroy or mess anything up. Beau gets excited and has burst of energy when he greets you after youve been gone, a little bit around food time, and if trying to play with him, otherwise, he is mild mannered. Beau currently has two foster siblings and could really care less about them as he mostly wants human affection and is content being by side. Personal space is a foreign concept to Beau but he is quickly picking up the boundaries established by his foster mom. Beau is smart and able to learn, but he is stubborn so he needs someone who can be patient and consistent with him. Beau also gets a little grumpy at night around his bedtime so its best for Beau to have a spot of his own where he can go lay down and not be disturbed. When Beau is extremely stressed with a situation he has been somewhat snappy so a quieter home without children will be necessary for him. Beau likes to go for car rides, walks and even to the dog park. However Beau still needs to be on a leash to get in and out of the car/house and at the dog park and will need a fenced in yard. When outside with all the smells and small animal to chase, he forgets his name. His foster mom is working with him on recall and making slow progress. Beau is learning what toys and bones are and how to play and chew on them. He is also slowly learning to play fetch. He likes to run outside in the yard, only in short bursts though and then is content just hanging out by your side or looking out the windows and watching all the cars and people go down the street/sidewalk. Beauu does a fatty tumor on his left shoulder that is of no concern and does not interfer with anything. Beau is currently being fostered in Olathe, KS.
