Meet Betty and Boris! When they first arrived they had bad cat flu and were very ill. Luckily Betty, who had a very high temperature and sore eyes, responded very quickly to treatment and is now off all medication. However we have been very worried about one of Boriss eyes. He couldnt open it at all initially and his conjunctiva and 3rd eyelid had fused together and had to be separated under local anaesthetic and mild sedation. Our nurses have been working extremely hard cleaning his eye and applying drops hourly. This week it is finally improving and we are starting to feel hopeful we can save his eye đ When he is ready we will be looking for a very special forever home for them together. They are now well enough to enjoy play time in the nurse room!
