Meet Freedom! We are cross posting for the Cavalier rescue to help her find her forever home. She came from a hoarder in S Florida. She is pug and cavalier! Isnt she adorable? Here is her bio: Hi, I’m Freedom and I am SO happy to be rescued! I’m a Cavalier mix. I’m an about 2 years old, recently spayed female and I’ve had my teeth cleaned. I still need to gain some weight and ideally I’ll be about 25 pounds. I’m a few inches taller and longer than most Cavaliers. I’m very athletic—I might even make a good agility dog. I absolutely LOVE to run around the fenced back yard—it makes me sooo happy! Until recently I never knew bones or toys (or even grass) existed—now that I do, I’m having such fun playing! I share very well with my canine foster siblings. I have not yet been exposed to other pets or smaller children. I am quite shy and wary around new people at first but once I feel comfortable I warm up and then I’m “all in”. I love attention and affection and always want to be near my person/family. I think I’d be fine being someone’s only dog or just as fine having furry siblings. I do want to be on the furniture and the big bed with you. Since I was stuck living in a crate prior to rescue, EVERYTHING is new to me. I learned to potty outside right away, but I still need a little help on knowing when to go outside. That said, while I love to strut my stuff on leash walks, I will not do my business on lead, so a fenced yard is definitely a must for me. I don’t know very many words or commands yet but I’m bright and interested and trying to learn. I have the “pug mug” for sure, so if you love a smushy face on an athletic body—I may be the perfect girl for you!
