Meet Molly. Molly is a beautiful, fun loving, energetic 4 year old as you can see by these photos. What you dont see is Mollys disabilities. She currently has a diagnosis of mild intellectual delay, which basically means that not one doctor has been able to tell her parents what is going on with her,why she is battling these disabilities, or how to help her. Molly is delayed in all areas. Fine motor, gross motor, speech, as well as intellectually. While she has been grouped into a broad spectrum diagnosis she has so much more going on. Her parents are fighting hard to get a more thorough diagnosis. While she is 4 years old her intellectual / physical age is between 18 months - 24 months of age. Molly suffers from trichatilamania, hand biting, lack of speech , has mild scoliosis, and had focal seizures at 2 months old just to name a few of her struggles. I am helping Mollys parents raise money to purchase her a service dog which will help her in so many ways.It will help with her safety and keep her from wandering away and into the street, it will help calm her when she is over stimulated, it will be a companion for her, it will help with her speech skills (giving commands), it will help with her learning to interact appropriately with others (when people will approach her and inquire about the dog), it will help with her fine and gross motor skills (playing fetch, grooming, feeding), and more. Not to mention help her have independence as she gets older. These dog cost any where between $13,000 and up. I am going to host a yard sale to help fundraise the first $1,300.00 for the deposit. I need all of your help to do this. If any of you have any items you would like to donate to this sale I will more than happy to take them off your hands. The yard sale will be set for a later date but we need donations NOW. Clothes, toys, old tools, books, shoes, tacky house decor, ANYTHING!!!!!
