Meet the newest emergency medical bunny at the HRS Rabbit Center in Richmond, Calif. (SF Bay Area). A Good Samaritan found this injured girl, had her examined by a vet (who took xrays), then took her to the Martinez shelter. The shelter contacted Anne Martin, HRS Executive Director, who arranged for the bunny to be transported to the Rabbit Center. The xrays show whats likely an old break in one femur and advanced arthritis in the other hind leg. The bunny is comfortable, and is drinking water and eating in her condo cage. Shell be examined tomorrow by Dr. Michele Kim at VCA Bay Area Animal Hospital in Oakland, so watch the Rabbit Centers Facebook page for updates.
