Meet your new Russian River Chamber Board of Directors! On November 5th, 2014, the members of the Russian River Chamber of Commerce elected the following community members to the Board of Directors: 2 Year Term (December 2014 to November 2016): David Blomster Owner/Operator of Pat’s/Dick Blomster’s. David has lived in Guerneville for 12 years. “I absolutely love our town for its beauty, great food, great wine and most importantly our great community.” Herman Gabriel Hernandez Employed at Zephyr Realty Russian River: Herman was born and raised in Guerneville. “I have proudly served my first year as your Russian River Chamber of Commerce Board of Director. I believe we live in the most beautiful place on earth.” Debra Johnson Owner/Broker at Berkshire Hathaway Sonoma County Properties. “I have always looked for ways to give back to this wonderful community that has served me and my family so well. I care deeply about this community that I call home and I am committed to the health and wellbeing of every person in our community as well as the economic growth of our businesses.” Rachel LeGrand Owner of Russian River Getaways. “What I bring to the Chamber Board is business management and marketing and community organizing experience wedded to a strong desire to foster a sustainably vibrant River community, business and otherwise.” Jennifer Neeley Associate Director of Development/West County Health Centers. I am a longtime Guerneville resident and an advocate for the economic and community health of the lower Russian River area. I enjoyed owning a downtown business for many years as well as serving on the Russian River Chamber Board in the past. During my past tenure on the Chamber Board I helped develop the Parade of Lights, Princess Raffle and Dinner and the Chamber logo which is still in use today.” Karen O’Brien Owner/Manager of Rio Villa Beach Resort. “I have twenty-five years of experience working successfully in industries as diverse as commercial real estate, publishing, high-tech recruitment and hospitality. For the last nine years, I have lived and worked in West Sonoma County and have focused exclusively on tourism/hospitality. I was co-owner of West Sonoma Inn & Spa in Guerneville for eight years. My strengths are in project management, sales, marketing and customer service. I am a certified CTA and enjoy expanding my knowledge of our amazing local area.” 1 Year Term (December 2014 to November 2015): Holly Stockon Innkeeper at Creekside Inn and is Owner of Russian River Designs. Russian River Designs provides promotional clothing to local businesses with personalized logos and tourist designs. “I have a strong focus on quality and service, and have a reputation for going above and beyond to satisfy the customer.” Peter Wierzbicki Owner and Financial Advisor with Russian River Advisory, LLC. “My family moved here in March, with the goal of raising our daughter in a close-knit, friendly and caring community. We quickly fell in love with the area and decided to relocate my financial planning and investment management practice. We purchased an office building here in town (the old Creations building), which will serve as the main office of Russian River Advisory.
