Megs Ripple Effect Update: FIRST - if you do ONE THING tonight (or tomorrow) - its to take a few minutes and READ. Tonights heartfelt blog posts by Ed Deiss and Robert Keith Cartwright beautifully tell stories of Meg. I read them, subscribed to them and am so INSPIRED. ...which is exactly what happened to fifty-five 4th graders in a small town in southern Missouri. Many here helped raise money for them to go an a field trip me meet some published authors (INSPIRING and once-in-a-lifetime exposure!). But there was a catch.... prior to the trip they had to agree to read each of Roberts Megsmiles blog posts - one a day leading up to the field trip- as an example of writing about things you are passionate about and the impact it can have. They got to know Meg, Scott and the Megs Movement. They discussed choices and consequences.. the lifes lessons just poured out...Thanks to three teachers and a principal who got it, these kids (and their families) lives will be forever impacted. So while we wear Megs shirts and carry her in our hearts... these kids take Meg with them on bikes and backpacks with their Megs Tags. And of course, she lives on in their hearts....Megs Ripple continues to grow... ***The Blog-A-Day they read is here (starting at the bottom 1/18/14 - written five days after Megs tragic accident): alifeofgratitude/a-grateful-dad---the-blog/category/megsmiles
